If there are people at home who have existing health conditions, make sure that there is enough medicine for them that will last for at least a week. Water may be the most essential of these, so make sure that you have enough for drinking for a week.

2. Store them well. Keep your goods in a dry, clean and cool storage area. Be aware of the expiration dates of your food and medicines, as expired products will just cause more harm than good.

3. Remember where you store them. Storing enough will not help if you do not know where you kept them. Organize all your stocks and keep a list of every item and where it is kept so youll know where to look when the need arises.
